I-485: I-85 to NC 24/NC27 (Albemarle Road)
In this gallery, I will post photos of Charlotte's I-485 from I-85 through the newly opened section ending at NC 24/27. The latest section of I-485 to open is the long delayed section in eastern Mecklenburg County that connects NC 24/NC 27 (Albemarle Road)to Lawyers Road to complete the loob between I-77 and I-85 in the sothern and eastern portions of the county. The above picture is of the 485 Junction BGS along NC 49 South.
I-485 Northbound
Interstate 485 North at Exit 47. This serves Lawyers Road in Mint Hill.
Interstate 485 North at Exit 44. This serves North Carolina 218 in Mint Hill.
Interstate 485 North at Future Exit 43. This marks the location of the hotly contested Exit 43 for North Carolina 51 in Mint Hill.
Interstate 485 North at Exit 41. This exit serves North Carolina 24 and 27 (Albemarle Road).

Interstate 485 North at Exit 32. This exit serves US 29 (Tryon Street).
Interstate 485 North at Exit 31. This exit (I-85) marks the current northern/eastern terminus of I-485.
I-485 Southbound
Interstate 485 South at Exit 32. This exit serves US 29 (Tryon Street) in far northeast Charlotte.
Interstate 485 South at Exit 33. This exit serves North Carolina 49 (University City Boulevard). NC 49 South will take one to the UNCC Campus in addition to Charlotte's "Central City," and NC 49 North will leave Mecklenbug County in about one mile and enter the town of Harrisburg.
