Georgia Photo Gallery

In this gallery, I will include various road pictures from throughout Georgia, the Peach State. This is pic shows the junction of interstates 75 & 85 North with interstate 20 (named in honor of the civil rights activist Ralph David Abernathy Freeway) in downtown Atlanta. The duplex of 75 & 85 is extremely busy at all times of the day. From this point, the two interstates will separate at exit 251, four miles to the north.

Interstate 75 North at Exit 251 in Atlanta. This marks the end of the 75/85 duplex through Atlanta just north of downtown.

Interstates 75 and 85 North at Exit 249 in downtown Atlanta. This exit serves both US 19 and US 29 through downtown. The structure above the interstate is the MARTA rail station for the Civic Center.

Interstate 20 West at 285 in Atlanta. This shows the directional overhead for the upcoming junction.

US 17 North on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge in Savannah. This shows the approach to the new Talmadge Memorial Bridge from US 17 North. Hutchinson Island is the last place in GA the US 17 passes through before reaching South Carolina.

Interstate 95 South at Interstate 16 in Savannah. This shows where Interstate 95 South meets Interstate 16 in Savannah. The 168 mile I-16 rests only in Georgia and serves to connect Savannah with Macon and more distant places like Atlanta.

Interstate 516 West at Interstate 16 in Savannah. This shows where Interstate 516 West meets Interstate 16 in Savannah. This 7 mile spur connects the northern suburb of Garden City with the southern reaches of Savannah.

Interstate 75 South at Georgia 19 in Macon. This shows where Interstate 75 South meets just to the west of downtown Macon. Valdosta rests about 150 miles to the south of here.

Interstate 20 West at 520 in Augusta. This shows the one mile BGS for Interstate 520 along 20 west in Augusta. Interstate 520 is about 16 miles long and is currently seeing construction to extend it on its eastern end, possibly into South Carolina.

Interstate 85 North near Exit 73 in Atlanta. This photo shows where landing lights for Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport actually cross over Interstate 85 just before the Virginia Avenue exit. Atlanta's Hartsfield is the world’s busiest airport.
