ASELSAN Inc., Microelectronics Guidance and Electooptics Group. March 2000 – present.
The
largest military electronics company in
---------------
Manager of Airborne and Naval Systems
Design Department
Managed
requirements, avionics system design, coding, test, deployment and maintenance
of software modules in various projects.
·
Leaded problem resolution process more
than 50 aircraft level problems during the project.
·
Given responsibility to manage the
avionics system design and software part for “Turkish Land Forces (TLF)
Helicopter Modernization Project” resulted in avionics and cockpit
modernization of 13 Sikorsky UH-60 and 9 AH-1W
helicopters which are in the inventory of Turkish Land Forces.
·
By this project, many new avionics
like the CDU-900 Control Display Unit, the MFD-268 Multifunction Display, the
ASELFLIR-200 and Symetrics Intelligent Data Modem
(IDM) was integrated to the helicopters which resulted in a measurable
improvement in operational capabilities and security with pilot satisfaction of
TLF. Modernization for 6 ea AH-1W and UH-60 helicopters were successful and
were accepted by TLF by May 2004. (complete)
·
Directed a team of 11 application
developers during the project for 24 months (complete). Coordinated the software development process
applying standard software development methodologies AQAP-150 and CMM which
resulted in an institutional standart on application
development.
·
Implemented an
software process development which resulted in reliable and high performance
applications.
Turkish
Aerospace Industries Inc., TAI, Design and Development Dept. Aug 1996 – Jan
2000
TAI is a joint venture (%42 Lockheed Martin and %7 GE owned) company which is the manufacturer of F-16 and CN-235 CASA aircraft in Turkey with over 70M$ annual sales.
·
Given the responsibility to design FCS
for unmanned aerial vehicle.
·
Succesfully
tested the FCS on hot-bench (Matrix-X System Build hardware-in-the-loop
environment) and gave many demos to management and project stake holders.
·
Designed
“Control and Actuation Unit” board with 80C51 microcontroller.
Developed software for this board to acquire commands from its serial port and
drive PWM servo motors.
·
Integrated the
GPS receiver, vertical gyro, rate gyros and electromagnetic compass to the
airborne platform.
·
Generated a
6-degree-of-freedom non-linear dynamic model of the unmanned aerial vehicle on MatrixX and Matlab/Simulink,
utilized USAF DATCOM program for aerodynamic coefficients extraction.
·
Devised a method
that automatically designs the control laws for the entire flight envelope when
dynamic model is given as input, substantially reducing the design effort,
minimizing trial and errors.
·
Designed and
simulated attitude hold, altitude hold, speed hold, heading hold and GPS-aided
autonomous navigation control loops.
·
Codeveloped a basic homing
guidance algorithm to be implemented on TMS320c40.
·
Directed the
team to complete the ISO-9001 conformance in 3 months and passed the audit with
zero discrepancies.
