The Commerce association was inaugurated on the 29th June 2004. The honorable chief guest of this occasion was Mr. Chandra Mohan K.Y. ‘Chartered Accountant’. The other dignitaries on the dais were the principal, Rev Dr. Eugene Lobo, the Dean Prof A M Narahari, the president of commerce association Ms Daphne Lobo & the secretary Mr. Shashank Shetty.

                             The stage was outrageously sparkling with the zeal and creativity of the students under the guidance of Mr. Suresh Poojary. A prayer song by Januelle & party set the function in motion. Mr. Chandra Mohan K.Y. enlightened the students by opening their minds to the various career opportunities in the field of commerce & the service sector stating that education was incomplete without such an association. He then spoke on the necessity of all-round development to excel in life and declared the commerce association for the year 2004-05 officially open. The president Ms. Daphne Lobo welcomed the gathering, followed by Prof. A.M. Narahari who appreciated the arrangements made and described the creativity of students by giving an example of the arrangements made and described the creativity of students by giving an example of the “tastefully decorated stage”. After which Rev Dr. Eugene Lobo our Principal spoke on the importance of education not just by books but also through extra-curricular activities and sports keeping the basic motive of excelling in the examination and wished the Commerce Association all the best for another fruitful year.

 

The commerce association is an active association since many years. It has conducted varieties of activities which has enhanced the knowledge of commerce students.
