Personality: S'van acts about a mature as he looks. He is quick to anger and hates when things don't go his way. He wants to be respected, but isn't entirely sure what he has to do to get that respect. He is also friendly and outgoing, but is very irresponsible and fickle. Because of his quick temper, he can also come across as rude and selfish. However since he Impressed Leirath, his ability to focus has tremendously increased, so he's not completely lost.
History: Sirvan grew up as the fifth son in a family of sons to the Lord Holder of a medium-sized hold. Growing up in a well-to-do family has made Sirvan used to getting his way. As a dragonrider he's had difficulty adjusting to the fact that he's not the top of the chain of command any longer. As one of the middle sons, he's always been a little petulant since his parents were usually focused on his oldest brothers who would inherit the position of Lord Holder. Unfortunately, getting older has done little to change his attitude.
Searchriders came to Sirvan's hold on Search when he had seventeen turns. Since he hadn't figured out what to do with himself, Sirvan decided to stand amongst the other eligible youth from the hold. His father didn't mind since he wasn't the one that was going to inherit anyway, and it never hurt to have a dragonrider in the family. So he went to the weyr as a candidate and Impressed Leirath. Impressing Leirath is probably the best thing that's happened to him in terms of growing up, though perhaps he's not ready to appreciate it.
