II. Our Equipment
A. Girdle of Truth, in contrast to the devil who is a liar (John 8:44)
B. Breastplate of Righteousness. To be righteous is to walk “in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless” (Luke 1:6). Satan is our accuser, but has no basis of accusation if we are righteous (Titus 2:5, Romans 2:21-24).
   C. Shoes of the gospel of peace. If we wear these shoes, we have beautiful feet (Romans 10:15, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
D. Shield of Faith. Fiery darts can come suddenly from unexpected places, and they can pierce and penetrate. Faith comes from hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith is made stronger by exercise (Hebrews 5:14).
E. Helmet of salvation (Ephesians 4:21, 2 Peter 3:18, Romans 6:11).
F. Sword of the Spirit (Hebrews 4:12, Acts 2:37, Acts 7:54). This is the only offensive weapon. The Word of God is that Sword (Ephesians 6:17).
III. The Energy: Prayer. “Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).
IV. The Encouragement: Fellow Christians in active service to God.
