 The first Neverland was successful held Friday
            and Saturday night January 21st and 22nd @ the
            Tom Bevill center in Huntsville.

 The event was free and free pizza (courtesy of
            Dominoes), free soft drinks (courtesy of Coke), and
            free popcorn were provided.
 
 WZYP was there! Channel 31 did a segment on
            Neverland, and the Huntsville Times published an
            article  on the event.
 
 About 200 teens attended the event each night.

 The honorable Mayor Loretta Spencer was in
           attendance, and approvingly agreed to give the New
          Millennium Youth Council funding for the next
          Neverland.
 Activities included a D.J room, a N64 Golden Eye
        tournament as well as music from some really good
        local bands.

                             *Absolute Zero
                             *Stroud

-Thanks to all the NMYC members who worked all day Friday to get the event ready, as well as Bob Drolet of Lockheed Martin (an ongoing sponsor), and Sandy Grinn and Vicki NeSmith (cofounders of the Community Partnership for Youth) for all there support and help to get Neverland off the ground.
