We've revamped our music page and made it a CD review page. Each month (or week, whenever we remember to actually update) we'll review one or two CD's (new or old) and put them on this page. The goal is to get everyone involved in the music we like to listen to. Who knows, maybe we'll introduce you to your new favorite band...

Our Lady Peace- Gravity
I (Karen) bought this CD the very first day it came out, hoping that it was going to be as good as the first single Somewhere Out There seemed to promise. I definately made a good decision because the entire album is great with a very rockin' edge to it. Lots of guitars and of course lead singer Raine Maida's soaring vocals keep the traditional OLP sound but the whole album is edgier then their last four albums. Songs to check out include Innocent, Sorry and Somewhere Out There

Will Hoge - Carousel
Personally, I (Jenna)love this CD. Every song on it is great, and Will has a great voice. It's like a cross between Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Let Me Be Lonely and Wish are a couple of my favorites. Sweet Magdeline is great, too, even though there's something wrong with a song about a good girl named Magdeline who turned into something of a hooker. You don't even realize how twisted the lyrics are unless you really listen.

Barenaked Ladies - Disc One: 1991-2001
Of course, this CD is great. They even include a live version of Brian Wilson. My favorite part of this CD is the booklet that comes with it. They have little stories about each song. I never knew what they said at the end of One Week. I read it in the booklet. They sing "Birchmount Stadium - Home of the Robbie". Cute story to go with it. Pointless, of course, but nevertheless cute. Buy the CD.

Jump, Little Children - Vertigo
I think it's physically impossible for Jump to make a bad CD. So of course they've gone and made another great one! The music is much different from their other CDs, but there is still a "jumpness" about it, if you will. The songs are more mature, and the music has changed to go with the lyrics. All in all, Fantabulous CD.
