10 Things I Hate About You
Starring: Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, Larisa Oleynik, and Joseph Gorden-Levitt
A cool cast of young stars is just one of the things you'll love about this
hilarious comedy hit! On the first day at his new school, Cameron (Joseph
Gordon-Levitt - Halloween: H20, TV's 3rd Rock From The Sun) instantly
falls for Bianca (Larisa Oleynik - The Baby-Sitters Club), the gorgeous girl
of his dreams! The only problem is that Bianca is forbidden to date...until
her ill-tempered, completely un-dateable older sister Kat (Julia Stiles - Wide
Awake) goes out, too! In an attempt to solve his problem, Cameron singles
out the only guy who could possibly be a match for Kat: a mysterious bad
boy (Heath Ledger) with a nasty reputation of his own! Also featuring a hip
soundtrack - this witty comedy is a wildly entertaining look at exactly how
far some guys will go to get a date!

A League Of Their Own
Starring: Geena Davis and Tom Hanks
This comedy/drama follows the fact-based exploits of the Rockford Peaches,
one of a number of all-women's professional baseball teams formed during
World War II while most men were fighting in Europe. Geena Davis stars as
Dottie Hinson, the team's star catcher, locked in an intense sibling rivalry with
her pitcher sister Kit (Lori Petty). Rounding out the team of eccentrics (including
Madonna as a promiscuous outfielder) is Tom Hanks as Jimmy Dugan, the
alcoholic ex-ballplayer who takes the managerial reins.

American Beauty
Starring: Kevin Spacey, Annette Bening, Thora Birch, Wes Bentley, and Mena Suvari
This film is about the dark side of an American family, and about the nature
and price of beauty in a culture obsessed with outward appearances. Kevin
Spacey plays Lester Burnham, a man in his mid-40s going through an intense
midlife crisis; he's grown cynical and is convinced that he has no reason to
go on. Lester's relationship with his wife Caroline (Annette Bening) is not a
warm one; while on the surface Caroline strives to present the image that she's
in full control of her life, inside she feels empty and desperate. Their teenage
daughter Jane (Thora Birch) is constantly depressed, lacking in self-esteem, and
convinced that she's unattractive. Her problems aren't helped by her best friend
Angela (Mena Suvari), an aspiring model who is quite beautiful and believes
that that alone makes her a worthwhile person. Jane isn't the only one who has
noticed that Angela is attractive: Lester has fallen into uncontrollable lust for her,
and she becomes part of his drastic plan to change his body and change his life.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the same neighborhood, Colonel Fitts (Chris Cooper)
has spent a lifetime in the Marine Corps and can understand and tolerate no other
way of life, which makes life difficult for his son Ricky (Wes Bentley), an aspiring
filmmaker and part-time drug dealer who is obsessed with beauty, wherever and
whatever it may be.

American Pie
Starring: Jason Biggs, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Natasha Lyonne
It's said that most American men think about sex once every two or three minutes, but
this statistic would seriously underestimate the horniness of Jim (Jason Biggs), a high
school senior in suburban Michigan. Jim is thoroughly obsessed with sex, a fact of
which his parents become aware when they discover him performing the sin of Onan
with a gym sock while watching scrambled pay-per-view porn. Jim's buddies Kevin
(Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Oz (Chris Klein) are no
less anxious to relieve themselves of their virginity, so they all make a pledge: they
will go to bed with a woman in the three weeks before senior prom or die trying.
Kevin appears to have the advantage, since he already has a girlfriend, Vicky (Tara
Reid), but before he ventures into the Final Frontier, Kevin is urged to consult "The
Bible," a hand-written how-to manual possessing erotic wisdom passed down
through the ages. Oz is a good-looking jock who is actually a nice guy -- which is
part of the problem, since he has his heart set on a nice girl, Heather (Mena Suvari),
who does not seem the type to leap into bed within 21 days. Finch has no immediate
prospects, though Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) is in a position to know if those rumors
about him are true. And Jim is a truly hopeless case -- after his attempted seduction
of beautiful Czech exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) turns out to be a
disaster, he ends up going to the prom with Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), an annoyingly
chatty band geek who does, however, have a fascinating story about a flute.

Crybaby
Starring: Johnny Depp, and Amy Locane
Johnny Depp stars in John Waters' hilarious juvenile delinquent musical
comedy extravaganza.
Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker (Depp) is the coolest, toughesthood in his Baltimore
high school. His ability to shed one single tear drives all the girls wild,
especially Allison Vernon-Williams (Amy Locane).
A beautiful, rich "square," Allison finds herself drawn into the world of Cry-Baby
and his "drape" pals. Soon she finds herself eagerly inhaling the influences
of rockabilly music and fast cars.
It's the hysterical, high-throttle world of 1954, complete with rousing musical
numbers and a diverse cast including Polly Bergen, Susan Tyrrell, Ricki
Lake, Traci Lords and many more!

Fear
Starring: Reese Witherspoon, Mark Wahlberg, William Peterson, Amy Brennemen, Alyssa Milano
Mark Wahlberg .k.a. white rap star Marky Mark stars in one of his first features
as the hoodlum drug dealer from the wrong side of the trackswho falls in love
with Nicole Walker, an upper-middle-class high school girl (Reese Witherspoon).
In this psycho-drama (with the emphasis on psycho), Nicole happily loses her
virginity to her first love, but, when she begins to doubt the relationship, his
tenderness turns to violence, as he stalks and terrorizes her and her friends and
family. The girl's father never trusted him in the first place, but his reservations
about his daughter's first serious boyfriend are interpreted as Oedipal paranoia,
until the boy and his drug-dealing, date-raping buddies besiege the overly fortified
house in a twisted attempt to win back Nicole's love. The Seattle setting juxtaposes
a grunge rock underworld with an over-privileged suburban household, and includes
a very sexual ride on a roller-coaster. And yes, former underwear model Wahlberg
appears shirtless several times.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Starring: Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Vernon, Royal Dano, John Alan Nelson
This low-budget cult classic horror spoof has one of the great movie titles of all time.
Mike (Grant Cramer) and his sweetheart Debbie (Suzanne Snyder) are smooching
on lover's lane when they see what appears to be a meteorite crashing over the
horizon. They loosen their liplock long enough to investigate and find a curious circus
tent. There they discover malevolent clowns who stop their victims with popcorn-shooting
guns and acid-drenched pies in order to feast on human blood. The unfortunates are
then entombed into inescapable cotton candy cocoons. Officer Dave Hanson (John
Allen Nelson) is called to investigate with help from Officer Mooney (John Vernon).
For those viewers who already think clowns are a little creepy to begin with, this
one will push them over the edge. Although it will also make you remember how
cheesy some movies can really be. But it's good cheese.

Legends Of The Fall
Starring: Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, and Aidan Quinn
The sweeping, melodramatic saga of three brothers, their powerful father, and a
beautiful woman, the popular period drama Legends of Fall presents a romanticized
view of rugged masculinity against lush Montana scenery. Based on a novel by Jim
Harrison, the film covers decades in the lives of Alfred (Aidan Quinn), Tristan (Brad
Pitt), and Samuel (Henry Thomas) Ludlow, the sons of retired military man William
Ludlow (Anthony Hopkins). Raised by the unorthodox Ludlow after the departure
of their mother, the boys grow up close, sharing an appreciation of the land and a
pioneering spirit. The family becomes divided, however, when young Sam enlists in
World War I over his father's objections, and his brothers follow suit to protect him.
Despite these efforts, Sam dies in battle, leaving Alfred and Tristan to return home and
deal with the lingering torment. Further complicating matters is the presence of Sam's
beautiful fiancée, Susannah (Julia Ormond). After Sam's death, she attracts the romantic
attention of both the responsible Alfred and the brooding Tristan, a conflict that threatens
to drive the brothers apart. Aspiring to epic status, the film utilizes period detail and
attractive landscapes as a backdrop for tragic, doomed romance.

Reality Bites
Starring: Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke, Janeane Garofalo, Steve Zahn, and Ben Stiller
Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke, and Ben Stiller star in this wildly funny romantic
comedy that looks at life, love and the pursuit of gainful employment through
the eyes of a generation sandwiched somewhere between The Brady Bunch
and Melrose Place!
As her college valedictorian, Lelaina Pierce (Ryder) should be destined for
greatness. In reality, she's a lowly production assistant for an obnoxious TV
morning show host (John Mahoney). In her free time, Lelaina's making a biting,
often outrageous video documentary about her peers: promiscuous, '70's-crazed
roommate Vickie (Janeane Garofalo), sexually repressed pal Sammy (Steve
Zahn), and best friends Troy (Ethan Hawke), a brilliant but unmotivated rebel.
Meanwhile, Lelaina meets Michael (Ben Stiller), an ambitious video executive
who wants to showcase her documentary on "In Your Face TV." Suddenly, she
finds herself at the center of a very odd love triangle with dependable, fast-track
Michael on the one side and a sexy, brooding Troy on the other.
Whether cruising to "Tempted" by Squeeze or rocking to The Knack's
"My Sharona," Ryder and friendsshine in this hilarious romance that's
pure entertainment.

Sleepers
Starring: Kevin Bacon, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Bruce Kirby, Jr., Jason Patric
Jason Patrick stars as Lorenzo, a New York reporter more commonly called
"Shakes," a nickname courtesy of his three childhood pals from Hell's
Kitchen -- Michael (Brad Pitt), John (Ron Eldard), and Tommy (Billy Crudup).
As kids, all four were sent to reform school after accidentally killing someone
during a cruel prank. There, the boys were raped and beaten by several
guards, including Sean Nokes (Kevin Bacon), a fact that they've kept secret
into adulthood. Michael is now a rising star in the district attorney's office,
while John and Tommy are founders of the Irish gang the Westies. When Nokes
walks into John and Tommy's hangout, they kill him in cold blood and go on
trial, defended by a drug-addicted lawyer (Dustin Hoffman). Michael and
Shakes conspire with childhood friend Carol (Minnie Driver) and local priest
Father Bobby (Robert DeNiro) to free their friends and get even with the
surviving guards. Based on a true story chronicled by Lorenzo Carcaterra in
his novel of the same name, Sleepers stirred controversy when the veracity
of the book was challenged by reporters who could find no documentation of
the events described.

Sliding Doors
Starring: Gwyneth Paltrow, John Hannah, John Lynch, and Jeanne Tripplehorn
The split-second moments that can take a life down one path instead of
another form the tantalizing what if? in this delightful romantic comedy
starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paltrow plays London publicist Helen, effortlessly sliding between parallel
storylines that show what happens if she does or does not catch a morning
train back to her apartment. Love. Romantic entanglements. Deception. Trust.
Friendship. Comedy. All came into focus as the two stories shift back and
forth, overlap, then surprisingly converge.

Til' There Was You
Starring: Jeanne Tripplehorn, Dylan McDermott, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston, and Ken Olin
This romantic comedy is the first film from two television veterans, writer Winnie
Holzman and director Scott Winant. Gwen Moss (Jeanne Tripplehorn) is a writer
working on the life story of former child actress Francesca Lanfield (Sarah Jessica
Parker), who is recovering from drug addiction. Nick Dawkan (Dylan McDermott)
is an architect working on a housing development that will require razing Gwen's
beloved vintage apartment. Gwen frequently visits a restaurant designed by Nick,
but she never meets him. In the meantime, she is romantically rebuffed by a college
professor (Ken Olin), who reveals that he is bisexual. Eventually, Gwen's crusade
to save the apartment complex, which is owned by Francesca, attracts the attention
of Nick.

You should just go home

and spend a lifetime finding out just where that is"
