John W. Barker, son of John N. Barker and A or C Barker, was born 1859 Iredell County North Carolina and died 1944 in Healing Springs, Arkansas.
John married in North Carolina to Amanville E. Sharpe, daughter of Frank Sharpe and Exemina Kever. Amanville was born 1861 in North Carolina and died in Wolf Bayou, Healing Springs Arkansas.
It is not known who John Barker accompanied to Arkansas, perhaps it was the family of Kever's since they were all from the same County in North Carolina. Amanville's mother Exemina Kever Sharpe was left a widow and moved to Arkansas where she had relatives. Her father Jacob Kever was residing in Arkansas.
The Barker's were in Arkansas by 1895 as a daughter died in that year and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Both John and Amanville died in 1944 and buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wolf Bayou.

James T. Barker was born 8 January, 1884 in Hidnight near Statesville, North Carolina, and died 17 March, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He is buried in Highland cemetery in Lawton
James was a Methodist Minister and left Arkansas and moved west to Oklahoma. Here he met Nellie Pearl Stansberry and they married in Springer, OK. Pearl was born 8 August, 1888 in Grayson County, Texas and died 2 March, 1973 in Oklahoma City, OK. Pearl was the daughter of Moses A. Stansberry and Victoria Antoinette Garner
Nellie Pearl Stansbury was born in Grayson Co. TX., and died 2 May, 1973 in Oklahoma City, OK. She married James T. Barker, born 8 January, 1884 in Hidnight, NC., and died 17 March, 1947 in Lawton, OK. Both James and Pearl are buried in Highland Cemetery in Lawton, OK.
James Barker and Pearl Stansberry had two sons
1. James Homer Barker, born 18 October, 1922 Bonham, TX., and died 18 September, 1982 in North Carolina. He married Mary Lee Deck born in AR., daughter of Virgil Lee Deck.
