of Emmanuel Full Gospel Ministries deeply cares about pregnant and/or troubled women who don t know where to turn for help. Rose of Sharon offers a haven of hope and encouragement and unconditional love to women who desire to receive help and are willing to change their lives in Christ. Prayer, praise and worship, Bible studies and simple kitchen and household duties are the activities of a typical day at Rose of Sharon.
Come and find true peace in this country setting. Learn how to be at peace with yourself and God, as well as how to be better prepared to go forth into the rest of your life. Volunteers are here to help. They are under the direction of James and Carol Henderson, the founders, and they are loving and mature Christian women skilled m living and sharing the Christian life spiritually and practically. Above all, they are committed to helping the girls receive restoration and hope and a future through Jesus Christ. Our Rose of Sharon home provides a daily structured schedule that blends fun, teaching, and accomplishments. Biblical counseling and spiritual help is given to each girl. It is our purpose to love and nurture them and surround them in a family atmosphere. The girls will also be participating in "doing" God s work through our food ministry. Packing food boxes and sharing God s love with the needy is a privilege we share.
Our purpose is for the Rose of Sharon to help each girl come to know the truth. As the Bible says, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32) We encourage each girl to become strong Christians, full of the love and joy of the Lord through their applying God s Word in their lives. LIFE DECISIONS Crisis pregnancy is received with gentle and loving guidance to help meet the needs of each woman. We help to educate the girls about the options available to them in order to help them make the best decision, whether to parent or place their baby for adoption. Each girl will be supported as she decides which option is best for her life. Those who choose adoption will be provided with adoption services and will receive adoption counseling. Those who choose to parent their baby will receive classes on parenting and child care skills and receive counseling. We provide programs to help those facing the problems of drugs, alcohol or sexual abuse. These programs are individually designed to meet each girl s needs. FREE OF CHARGE: All girls come free of charge. The only qualification is that the girls have a desire to change their life through Christian ministry. The Rose of Sharon will provide encouragement, love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. The average stay usually lasts about six months, depending on each girl s situation. To come to Rose of Sharon you will be required to fill out our application and return it to us. When the application is received, a telephone interview will follow. The home does not accept women with mental problems who are on medications, because we are not equipped to meet these needs. Here they can find unconditional love that brings hope, restoration, and healing to the spirit, soul, and body. We are located in central Morgan County, Alabama, near Somerville. No government funding is accepted. Young women can come free-of-charge from all over the United States.The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to announce that captives will be set free and prisoners will be released. Isaiah 61:1 Rose of Sharon home is for one in need of real love and hope. There is safety and forgiveness to be found in the peaceful atmosphere at the Rose of Sharon Let someone who knows about the special love given by their Savior, Jesus Christ, share this love with her. Only the LOVE OF JESUS is enough to meet her every need. His passion is to share with YOU the Father's LOVE. He earned the right to do so when He died on the cross so that you might be saved from the sin that so easily entangles. His blood He shed so you could be cleansed from whatever has stained your soul. Won t you let Him make it right for YOU? He says: "Come to me, all you that are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28).
James and Carol Henderson are uniquely qualified to provide the positive environment and implement the curriculum needed to help hurting women come to grips with their problems and find effective answers. Both have strong backgrounds in counseling through a variety of professional and personal experiences, including extensive work with the disadvantaged. James is a certified teacher in the state of Alabama with a master's degree in education, including graduate courses in psychology. Carol is a retired mortgage loan officer with a long record of helping people. She is a trained and experienced crisis pregnancy counselor. They have successfully raised children, including one son and three daughters. James is an ordained minister of the Gospel, and Carol is a licensed minister of the Gospel. Most importantly they are people committed to the love of Jesus Christ and the beautiful changes he can bring to those who accept his way. |
