Blackburn Rovers boss Graeme Souness has admitted that he wants to sign on-loan defender Henning Berg on a permanent basis. Berg, who has been at Ewood Park since the start of September, has done well since returning to his former club, but with his loan deal coming to an end on 8 December the clock is ticking if a permanent deal is to be done.

United's away match against Leeds has been brought forward to a 11.30am kick off on Saturday 3 March 2001. Reds supporters will have to make an early morning trek over the Pennines to watch the boys in action. There has been no announcement yet as to whether the potentially vital League match will be shown live on television
