Moon of clouds
By: Robert Nicholson
Over a thousand stars
For it shines through the
sky and
Looks like it’s in charge
And no matter what you do
nothing
Can hide it when it glows
But like the moon on a
Cloudy night
You can not see it quite so
Well for it’s covered
Covered with a memory of
A forgotten past
But when it can break free
Finally all it sees
Is loneliness and doubt that
It shall ever shine freely
For the past of forgotten
clouds
Linger by
And I wish I had my star
By my side
In the darkness of a dark
And cloudy sky
