John Crow had 500 acres in 1850 dwelling # 1285, by 1860 he had only 150 acres and had moved next to Samuel Crow and the home of Henry Bennetts family. In the 1850 census of Forsyth Co. John is listed as 55. In the 1860 census he is listed as 65. He is not in the 1870 census.

In the 1850 census of Forsyth Co. Mary "Polly" is listed as 51. In the 1860 census she is listed as 58. In the 1870 census she is living with Andrew Jackson Bennett (son-in-law) and Martha C. Crow (daughter). She is not in the 1880 census.

Evidently Parthenia had been married before because she had a child in the 1880 Forsyth Co. census age 7 by the name of Daniel Kelly. Willis told the census taker it was his stepson. In the 1900 and the 1910 census they were in Hall Co. in the Roberts District. The 1880 census is the only time the step-son shows. In the 1910 census only Willis and Parthenia are in the household and he states that he had only been married one time and she states that she had been married twice the mother of one still lives. In the 1923 Hightower Baptist Associational minutes it shows that a Parthenia Crow was a deceased member of the Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Hall Co.

Isaac and Lavica were married by Rev. James Hughes. The Spartanburg South Carolina census lists Isaac as being born 1822 and another as 1828. He died after 1862 and before 1870. 1850 census of Forsyth Co. as 26, born in South Carolina in 1824, and a farmer. In 1850 Isaac is living with parents. In 1860 he is living with wife and children next to his father John.

Lavica is daughter of Henry Bennett and Sarah Padget. 1860 Forsyth census lists her as 24. 1870 census lists her as 33.

He is listed in a household with Frany/Fany Crow 19 born in Georgia in 1831, and William J. Crow age 1 born in Ga. in 1849. In 1860 census he is listed as 27, born in 1833, living in household with; Aranier age 27, born in 1833; Wm. J. age 11 born in 1849; Samuel Jr. or M age 9, born in 1851; Iranior/Ivanior E. age 7, born in 1853; Mary B. age 5, born in 1855; and Trumon age 2, born in 1858. 1870 census-- Samuel Crow, 45, farmer, born in S.C. in 1825. The following was told to Roy Crowe by Aunt Onie(Leona).

Elisha Clinton Crowe owned a hardware store and several acres of land in and around Gainsville Georgia. In 1914 Elisha was running for sheriff of Hall County, and went out on a manhunt for a criminal with the local law enforcement officials. It was a cold rainy night, and Elisha came down with pneumonia afterwards. He died on March 6th 1914.

Grave marker for Precia Louiza has Mrs. E. C. Crowe.

On May 21st, 1915 Precia married Robert Lee Collum in Gainsville, Georgia. Robert was born June 29th 1868. Robert Lee first married Almedie Starnes on 4 Oct. 1887. Almedie was born 16 May 1867 and died 30 May 1914. Their children were:

In 1916 Robert and Precia, along with their children moved from Gainsville Georgia to Andalusia Alabama on horses and wagons. In 1918 they lived at Weed, Alabama. Weed is a small community between Brantley and Elba. In 1919-1920 they lived near Troy in Pike County Alabama. On April 8th 1923 Robert died.

The following was related to James Walter Crowe by James Marion (Jack) Crowe.

On the night of November 15th, 1927 James(Jack), Hoke, Oneil, JM, and some of the Pinckard boys went coon hunting. Hoke left his young daughter, Eva, with Precia while they were gone. Upon returning, they found Precia in a rocking chair, dead, and Eva on her lap asleep.

Note from Sara Bradshaw Nicholson states that Precia's mother was Mary Jane Wofford born 15 July 1855, died 27 Jan. 1922.

William T. and Sophronia moved to Sand Mountain Alabama sometime between 1890 and 1900. William died from complications from an accident where he was caught between two railroad cars that he was coupling. His legs were severed. This happened somewhere near Sand Mountain Alabama. Sophronia took him back to Georgia and buried him at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Forsyth County. Family history says she grieved herself to death over him.

When James Marion (Jack) was about 15 years old he was feeding peanut vines into a stationary peanut picker with a pitch fork. The peanut picker got clogged up and he stuck his right hand in to remove the clog. The tines in the peanut picker caught his hand and started pulling him into the machine. Someone close by turned the machine off or it would have pulled him in. His right hand and lower arm were so mutilated that his arm had to be amputated just below the elbow. The amputation was done at home, and he almost bled to death.
