Who is family? Is it just our nucleus household? Does it include our other kin? Is it our neighborhood? Is it the members of our church? Is it our co-workers? -- Family, I believe, is whomever is connected by some common bond. And aren't we all? We may not all come from the same direct descendant line. We may not all come from the same ethnic background. We may not all come from the same country. We may not all share the same beliefs and convictions. But, we are all placed here by God, descended from the first family of this world, Adam and Eve. And though we do not technically claim to be kin to everyone after so many branches of the tree go in so many different directions, we are ALL family. -- Don't we look out for our family members? We take special care of our families. We support our families. We visit our families. We keep up with our families. We love our families. -- So, let it be. Family is to each one of us what we want it to be - red, yellow, black, or white. Is it our choice who we include in our family? It IS our choice which persons we "claim kin" with, BUT, it is NOT our choice as to who "belongs" in the family. -- As you read through all this information, you will see that our family comes from many different backgrounds, countries, cultures, ethnic groups, etc., but we are all still in the same family. -- You will find here Indians and settlers, rich and poor, slave-owners and slaves, pioneers and cattle ranchers, musicians and politicians, teachers and preachers, and the list goes on and on. -- You will also find how each of the branches of this family connects to another and another and another... Regardless of our upbringing, and regardless of our prejudices, we can never escape the fact that God brought us together - as Family. -- Enjoy! Brad Campbell
