Chapter 4: "The Confronting"

Thunderblood exited the portal and look around. He was disgusted at what was around. He then saw a cave and recognized what it was. It was his home but everything was different.

"What happened to this place", Thunderblood asked himself, "Wait a minute I went back in time." Thunderblood recognized a tree that was near his cave but it was not as old as the one before. Thunderblood heard somebody coming. He got in his fighting stance looking around. He then was knocked in the back.

"Welcome Warrior", the voice said as Thunderblood got around to see who it was.

"Kuanmicin", Thunderblood said.

"I'm going to send you to the same place where your brother is", Kuanmicin said as he turned into a demon from hell. He stood at 12 feet tall with razor sharp claws and teeth. Thunderblood grabbed his shield and stood still and kept his eyes on Kuanmicin. Kuanmicin punched the ground as Thunderblood flew in the air. Kuanmicin jumped up and grabbed Thunderblood waist. He then landed on the ground and spiked Thunderblood like a football. Thunderblood stood up as he was kicked back down again. Kuanmicin made a giant fireball and began to throw it at Thunderblood. Thunderblood grabbed his shield and blocked it as it bounced away. Kuanmicin began to run at Thunderblood. Thunderblood slid under his legs and shoved the spikes on the shield into Kuanmicin. Kuanmicin let out a great cry of pain. Thunderblood removed his shield and stood over Kuanmicin. The deep cut in Kuanmicin's back began to close itself.

"What the fuck", said Thunderblood as he was confused at how the cut closed itself.

"Big mistake on your part", said Kuanmicin as he slashed his claw on Thunderblood's leg, "My wounds heal themselves." Thunderblood was then picked up again. Kuanmicin stood there looking at Thunderblood with an evil smile on his face. "Its time to face your destiny", Kuanmicin said as grabbed Thunderblood's neck. Thunderblood grabbed two spikes on Kuanmicin's shoulders. "Ripping them out will do no good", Kuanmicin said, "remember my wounds heal themselves."

"I know that", replied Thunderblood, "But nothing will heal this though." Blue energy began to come form Kuanmicin to Thunderblood. Kuanmicin got very tired and let go of Thunderblood. Kuanmicin fell to his knees. The blue energy stopped coming to Thunderblood. "No, Its time to face your destiny", Thunderblood said. Thunderblood began to electrocute Kuanmicin. Kuanmicin began shaking really fast. Thunderblood let go of Kuanmicin. Kuanmicin was still shaking rapidly. He grabbed his head and let out a loud scream as his body exploded. Thunderblood stood there looking at the spot where Kuanmicin stood his last. A flash was seen and Raiden appeared.

"You have done well my friend", said Raiden, "I also have good news and bad news."

"Good news first, Raiden", said Thunderblood

"Your brother is still alive but is being held in the Outworld by the Shoa Kahn", said Raiden.

"What", exclaimed Thunderblood, "I have to get go and get him."

"Wait the bad news", said Raiden, "The Elder Gods won't let you go because they believe you will lose control over you anger. But there is another way. I will return you to the present in where you lived in the cave. This area of the planet is filled with many caves and caverns. About twenty miles south of here  is a large group of caves known as Damage's Cave. A small tournament is being held to prepare warriors for the actual Mortal Kombat Tournament. If you win, you will be granted a reward. If you win you could gain access to the Outworld where you can begin your quest to find Python."

"Well if I have to then I must", said Thunderblood, "Thank you for all you done Raiden. I guess I won't see you again."

"No, you will", replies Raiden, "Years from now you will. For now go." Thunderblood acknowledges as Raiden makes another flash of light. Thunderblood then finds himself in the present and he begins to make his journey to Damage's Cave."
