Holocaust
Appearance:Holocaust is a frightening looking man standing at 6'8 feet tall and covered with muscle. His eyes are a bright orange. His skin is charred black color from his long imprisonment in the Netherrealm. His over garment is similar to that of a regular Lin Kuei ninja, although it is not exactly the same. Instead, he was first seen wearing it when he became a general in the armies of Outworld. It is a orangish-red color. His pants are black. Under his over garment, visible only in the middle of it, is a black under garment. Holocaust's face has rarely ever been seen and no record of what it looks like is kept anywhere. Hiding it is a black hood which covers his presumable bald head, and a black mask, covering his entire face except for his eyes. On each arm Holocaust wears a black wrist guard made of metal. This protect his wrists as well as send more pain into a blow from them.
Weapon: Sword of Fury (Holocaust's weapon is a long sword. The weapon is covered in flames at all times, burning with such heat that only Holocaust himself can hold it without being burned. When held, the sword sends flames up Holocausts arm, which engulf it but do not harm it. The sword is capable of slicing through many solid objects. Although not sharp, the fire allows it to do so. When striking a mortal's skin, it will set their body on fire temporarily if it does not remove which was hit by it. Holocaust's sword is not visible until he calls upon it. Some believe that it is kept in the underworld when not being used.)
Special Abilities:
Unclean Spirits: (Holocaust's presence in the Netherrealm isolated him with many evil souls. They filled his body and became apart of him, giving him some of his power. When he was freed, they remained within him. In this attack, Holocausts releases some of them by raising his hands to the air. His eyes and hands glow red as many of the spirits are seen flowing from his body in the form of red mist. Evil cackles sound throughout the arena, sending spine tingling chills through any mortal and immortal who hear them. At first, the spirits soar around the arena, terrifying any onlookers and bystanders. They then direct their attention to Holocaust's opponent, who is standing in the battle arena, stunned by the spirit's evil presence. They all gather around the opponent and begin to circle them, sending fear throughout their body. Then, at once, they all enter their body, which begins to glow an ugly, blood red once they are inside. They begin to scream wildly and blood starts pouring from their mouth. Then, ugly scars begin to appear from out of nowhere all over their arms and body. They spill with blood and sometimes intestines. The spirits then exit their prey's body via their open wounds and return back to the waiting Holocaust.)
Netherrealm Skulls: (Using his power and influence over the Netherrealm, Holocaust raises his right hand to the air, and after a few seconds, it begins to glow the blood red of his skin color. Then, a red mist emits from his hand and takes the shape of an ugly and terrifying skull. The semi-transparent skull looks into the opponent's eyes, stunning them with fear. Then, it opens its wide mouth and releases a cackle before it disappears. Suddenly, the ground beneath the opponent's feet opens up and a large, flaming skull looking identical to the mist skull emerges from it. The skull flies at the enemy and knocks them painfully back into the wall. Their body lands back on the ground, hard, and the skull opens its mouth and shoots a stream of fire at them. The fire engulfs their body, allowing only painful screams out. The flame dies down after around 20 seconds, ending their torture and leaving their body covered with large cuts and disgusting looking scars and burnt flesh.)
Evil's Gaze: (The complete evil which Holocaust acquired in the Netherrealm is what allows him to master this ability. He begins by simply staring hard at his opponent. They stand motionless, returning the glare. They do not know it yet but they are actually being partially hypnotized into not breaking the stare because Holocaust needs them to see his eyes to perform the move correctly. Holocaust's eyes then start to brighten, changing from their normal orange to a reddish color. Once this happens, Holocaust sends a strange and evil pain through his stare into his enemy's body. Their eyes begin to glow the exact same red which Holocaust's glow, and when this happens, it signals they received the attack. Immediately after, they fall to ground, screaming in agony. Holocaust's eyes are seen becoming even more red until the eventually drip with blood. This increases the pain which his opponent feels thus making the screams louder and louder. After a few minutes of pure torture, Holocaust blinks his eyes and they return to their normal color, ending the attack on the fallen victim. It is said that when Holocaust's eyes begin to bleed, it is the blood of his opponent which flows from them.)
Ash Cuts: (Holocaust mumbles some silent words and his empty right hand is suddenly holding the Sword of Fury. The Sword cracks and sizzles from the flames as it appears in is hand. A flame covers all of Holocaust's upper right arm as he holds up his weapon ready to attack. Then Holocaust charges his enemy and slashes his sword across their arm. A huge gash opens up on it, spilling blood which had boiled from its contact with the unearthly flaming sword. The usual screams follow as Holocaust does the same to their other arm. Although leaving them connected to the body, Holocaust severly wounds them.)
Fatalities:
Netherrealm Vacation: (Holocaust recalls the horrible pain and suffering which he experienced in the Netherrealm and decides that this treatment is just what his foe needs to be finished off. So he walks in front of them, stopping only a few feet away; just barely out of arm's reach, and he raises both of his hands to the sky. Outside, thunder and lightning and can be seen or heard throughout the air. Holocaust's dazed opponent is suddenly shocked with fear as Holocaust's eyes begin to glow the blood red color once more. And suddenly, the ground beneath the victim's feet begins to glow the same red. A piercing scream rips through the air; seeming to have come from the ground. And then the ground parts underneath the enemy, revealing a huge portal. Instead of falling straight into it, the enemy seems to be sucked down slowly into it, feeling terrible pain as he does. Finally, their entire body had disappeared into the portal, which remains open. Fire and blood spurt out of it a few seconds later as a mixture of terrifying screams and evil laughs are heard coming from it. Then, one by one, the victim's bones are thrown out of the portal. They stack up next to Holocaust's feet. The skull, which still has flesh on it and always comes out last, flies up into the air and is caught by Holocaust, who raises it high in victory. An expression of terror and pain is left on it.)
Torture of the Soul: (As the fight draws to a close, Holocaust feels that it is time to possess his enemies soul the way the Netherrealm had possessed his for so long. But instead of sending them to the place itself, he decides to cause their suffering on earth, which is somewhat more dignifying. Holocaust allows the evil spirits which reside in him to flow from his body. They exit as a strange red mist but there presence is made known by their horrifying cackles and screams. They immediately fly toward Holocaust's enemy and begin to flow around them. The victim, although dazed, feels the full terror of their nearness. They wish for a quicker death, but it does not come. The spirits then enter their body via their mouth. They cough wildly as the spirits enter. After a few seconds of confusion, the opponent's stomach begins to move violently. It is suddenly ripped open, spilling their guts and blood all over the ground. They stare down in shock as they see it fall. The spirits laugh before the cause both arms to be ripped from their sockets and also become unattatched to the body. With a final laugh, the spirits decapitate the foe, allowing his head to fall from its neck and roll to the ground. They dead body falls to the ground, motionless. But the pain does not end there. The red mist then floats back up into the air above the dead corpse dragging the blue mist with it. The blue mist is the soul of the dead opponent. The red spirits grab ahold of the soul and transport it directly to the Netherrealm, where it is to be kept and tortured endlessly for the rest of time.)
Decapitation of Flame: (Holocaust realizes the need for his weapon as he sees his dazed opponent. He says the few words under his breath and the Sword of Fury arrives in his hands from the Netherrealm. Holocaust then charges his opponent at full speed with the flaming sword held high in an attacking stance. With a mighty swing, he throws the burning blade across the through his opponents neck, instantly ripping through it and disconnecting the head from his. Their head falls to the ground and immediately burns up from the contact with the Sword of Fury.)
Story: Holocaust was known to earlier civilizations as only a myth. He was described as an evil god who would punish mortals if they angered him. Only the Elder Gods knew that he really existed. At an earlier time in his life, Holocaust was a general of the Outworld armies. In fact, he was the most powerful man in Outworld besides Shao Kahn. Kahn, however, noticed that Holocaust's power was becoming too great, so he ordered him to be executed. Holocaust was killed and sent to the Netherrealm. There, he was subject to unless torture and suffering, thus creating a bitter personality in him. He became filled with hatred. This was noticed by a young god, Shinnok (who had not yet risen to power) and Shinnok freed Holocaust from the Netherrealm on account that he become his assassin. Shinnok wanted to use Holocaust to destroy the earth realm and Lord Raiden. So Holocaust was freed from the Netherrealm. But he had tricked Shinnok. He had no intention of helping him; instead, he attempted to kill Shinnok, though unsuccessfully. After Shinnok was out of the way and Holocaust was free, he decided to take his revenge on Kahn; and all the other realms.
