1.  DUNCAN1 MACKILLOP was born 1755 in Braes of Lochaber, and died 1830 in Murlagan, Scotland.  He married (1) MARGARET BEATON 1779, daughter of ALEXANDER BEATON and FLORA CAMERON.  She was born 1760 in Lochaber, Scotland, and died 1790 in Braes of Lochaber.  He married (2) MARY MACDONALD March 16, 1796.  She was born 1762 in Cranachan, Scotland, and died April 03, 1838.

Notes for DUNCAN MACKILLOP:
The MacKillops are a Sept of the MacDonalds of Keppoch. Those of the parish of Mabou are descended from Duncan MacKillop and his wife, a daughter of Alexander Beaton, son of Alexander of Skye. Mrs MacKillop died in Brae- Lochaber, Scotland, likely in Bohinie, where the family lived and from where they emigrated to Nova Scotia, eventually settling at Mabou Ridge. There was at least five in the family.
