Jisei Shinzaki Proto
Basic body, using all these parts from a Rock figure. It'll be challenge to see if I can take the same head as I used on Samoa Joe and make it look completely different.
Undecided about the torso. I might change it to this one.
Started the basic work. Getting started on the head sculpt, filling in the gaps in the pants and sanded down the arms quite a bit so they don't look so ridiculously huge.
More head work, started the gauntlets on the arms, still working on the pants and capped off the tiny shoes so they will start to look more like the tabi shoes Shinzaki wears.
Still going on the head sculpt and decided that the arms were way to chunky, so I sanded them down A LOT. Also scraped down the hands to make them look more natural. Started on the belt as well and some other pants mods.
Further head mods around the eyes.
Molded on the belt straps. The straps come from a piece of rubber from a Hasbro Star Wars coat of some type. It was cut up and shaped and super glued into place then sculpted over.
I was really unhappy with the way the wrist guards were looking, so I hollowed them out around the top of the hand. I think it looks much better this way.
Molded on the belt loops or whatever that is on his belt. Also started sanding down the neck and shoulders so that they flow better into the arms. Also adding some sculpting between the brow and nose.
Glued the figure together and started filling in the joints around the neck and the seems of the torso. The head seemed a bit small so have started finishing off the back of the head to look more natural and started finishing up sculpting around the eyes and shaping out the forehead. Also started filling out the muscles on the upper part of the torso.
