Walker A. Stewart

Walker A. Stewart was born August 27, 1819 in Warren County, Tennessee. He
died November 29, 1895 and is buried in the Wesley's Chapel Community
Cemetery on Sand Mountain, Dekalb County, Al. He was married to Sarah
Spears Stewart. They had the following children- John(from a previous
marriage), Margaret(James R.King, Jr), Gracy(John J. Wooten), Bryan(Huldah
Boyd), Ellen(Wilson Taylor), and Amanda(William Green).

Walker's brother, Robert, and his nephews, John, Robert, Jr., and Samuel
were also in Company B of the Vidette. In Walker's pension application he
makes reference to his duties as a picket at Larkinsville on April 15, 1864.
