Under this Monument is Providence Spring after a storm the spring sprang out of the ground giving the prisoners much needed fresh water

Small creek which runs through the prison for much of the time was the only place to take a bath, drink water use the bathroom.

A corner of the rebuilt prison wall (not original)

Markers showing where the stockade wall were and the dead line any prisoner who stepped across the dead line was shot down on sight by the rebel guards, often times these guards were little more than boys 10 or 11 years old, but good shots!
