Our 20th class reunion will be held On June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of 2000, in Mobile AL. There is an activity fee of $125.00 to cover all activities and memorabilia per classmate and $175.00 for married couple classmates. The fee covers events for spouse/guest and events that include children. All fees are due by April 17, 2000. You may pay by check or money order made payable to Class of 1980 Reunion c/o Leslie Thomas. Please do not send cash. Payment can be made in $50.00 or larger instalments. No Money can be refunded after April 21th due to reservation commitment requirements.
The schedule is as follows: the "Sunset Scenic River Cruise" will be Friday, June 2nd. The attire is semi-formal. The Cruise will depart from beautiful Bellingrath Garden at 6:30 p.m. The cruise will last approximately 3 hours. Musical entertainment will be provided and Hors' d oeuvres will be served. A cash bar is available on the cruise. No outside food or beverages are allowed to be carried on board. The cruise is limited to the first 75 couples. The planning committee will take reservation on a first payment commitment, so secure your reservation early. There is also a re-acquaintance meeting (place to be announced) at 4:00 p.m. We will then have a motor cade to the Gardens at 5:30 p.m.
On Saturday we will have a "family picnic" at Walters' Park, U.S. Coast Guard Facilities (behind the Mobile Regional Airport) from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, chips, and soft drinks will be served. You may bring other food items if you desire.
Saturday night we will have a Hawaiian Luau" at USA Brookley Complex. The dress is Hawaiian attire.
Sunday we will have Church Service at Fellowship Church on 3308 South Shelton Beach Road, in Eight Mile. Classmate, Rev. Stanley Porter is the pastor. The message will be delivered by classmate Rev. Darrell Jones.
A "Wrap-up-Dinner" has been suggested for Sunday evening for any class members still here. CThe "Wrap-up-Dinner" is not included in the activity fee and no arrangements have been made.
Our next scheduled Reunion meeting is April 08, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the School. The dead-line date for submitting the balance on any instalment fees is April 17, 2000. This date is necessary in order for us to reserve certain activity sites. April 17, 2000, is also a scheduled Reunion meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the School.
