ome of you might say, "What exactly is Wicca?" Well, on this page, I hope to tell you or to help
you understand.
Wiccans have rituals to attune themselves with the natural cycle of nature and to better be in touch with nature as a whole and its healing and helping energies. We have 13 Esbats, or full moon rituals, and 8 Sabbats, or "power days" a year.
Wicca is a very open-minded religion and is open to gays and lesbians as well as free thought. For example, some wiccans believe that the central forces, the deities, created us at once where others may believe that we
evolved from lower life. It is because of this that many people are drawn to Wicca. Because they were descriminated against by other religions, they look to a religion that accepts, and welcomes them the way that they are. This is a good point of Wicca but it is not to be taken in access. For example, you can have free thought, but you do need to still adhere to the basic theology and rules of Wicca.
In Wicca, when you die, you go to a place called the "Summerland." This is a place of happiness where you are with the God and the Goddess as well as your loved-ones. You stay here until you are ready to be reincarnated again. And so begins the cycle over. This is how many reincarnationists explain the phenomenon of "prodigy children" such as Mozart who was writing music and conducting at age 5. Truly no child has these arts built-in, and at age five, haven't had time to learn them. Researchers or reincarnation explain this by the child having knowledge from a past life sink-in to the new one giving the child exceptional knowledge and ability in one or more things.
Now that you know the basics of Wicca, I advise that you go out and buy some books to get a better description and understanding of the craft.
