All about me, hmmmm? I'm not sure what I was thinking when I came up with that idea. As I've sat here and contemplated what to say, I realized that writing about yourself is hard. It's much easier to write about other people, whether real or figments of your imagination, than it is to come up with a few simple lines about yourself.
I mean, do I give you the basic stats?
I'm 26 years old, female, and live in Alabama. By day, I work as a Victim Service Officer in the District Attorney's office. At night, I maintain my list and this site, do some side work for my friend's web publishing company, and write. In my free time (HA!), I try to have a little fun here and there.
Nah, too boring. Sounds like a personal ad.
Well...hmmmm....since the present is too boring, I could talk about the future. Let's see, my goals are: to be a famous writer, marry a perfect man, and have 4 beautiful, intelligent, well-behaved babies. (To which my mother replies, "Yeah, right.")
Nah, this isn't good either. I feel like I'm running for Miss America. "I would like peace on Earth."
OK, let's try this one more time. I guess I could talk about writing. That *is* the focus of this site.
For the majority of my writing life, I have written primarily short stories. Lately, I have been branching out into articles. My articles can be found in such publications as WRITE! Magazine, Inscriptions, and Suite 101. I am also trying my hand at a novel loosely based on a court case handled by my office. Speaking of, I would like to thank the people on my list for their ever-helpful critiques of my work. My writing has improved because of them.
Well, I'm out of stuff to say (people who know me will find that *very* hard to believe) so how about some pics? This is ME. (Be kind, I don't photograph well.) And these are my "babies": Zelda, Templeton, Scout, and Sophie. Did I mention that my house resembles a small zoo?
(Don't you hate people who think you want to see pics of their pets? Yeah, me too. But this is different. These are MY pets.
