The Note Card Sonnets - Richard G. Beyer

Sometime in the early 1980s I took a few of the sonnets I had written in the 60s and 70s and had them illustrated by Ann McCutchen, an artist in Sheffield, Alabama, and then made into note cards.

These are therefore known, at least in my family, as "The Note Card Sonnets."

As with most of my writing, some of it reflects the influences of an outdoor youth spent in the salt water and sand dune countryside of eastern Long Island's southern shore, some of it reflects the remainder of my life which I had the great good fortune to spend in Alabama, and some of it reflects the high times I spent on safari in East Africa. For all of this I am eternally grateful. ---RGB
