Sultanate of Oman

The Sultanate of Oman is situated in the south eastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and The Republic of Yemen. The Peninsula of Oman with its rich history and culture dating back to 10,000 B.C., formed the basis of being in unique position as the famous seafaring nation. Its daunting mountain landscape, desert plains intermingled with gorgeous monsoon landscapes and pristine beaches and valleys crowned with interesting and exciting flora and fauna fascinates every type of visitor visiting the Sultanate.

The scenic, beauty, dramatic terrain and friendly people dominates the Sultanate historical and archaeologically to be one of the most interesting states in the region under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. With its land of rich contrasts, Oman is the second largest country in the Arabian Peninsula and was for centuries integral to the Arabian trade route. It is a proud nation, stepped in tradition, history and heritage. Oman is the legendary home of the Queen of Sheba and the inspiration of such explorers as Marco Polo and Sindibad the Sailor. A unique feature in this land of contrast is the perfect harmony in which tradition and modernization go side by side, with its interior town and villages seeped in vibrant historical past, and a well developed commercial and leisure activities.
