Welcome to the RhymeCraft Website! This site is under construction and will be coming soon.
Since you’re here, feel free to take a quick look around. You can learn a little about what we’re doing here and play the game prototype for The Gehenna Keys Saga– Chapter 1.
If you have comments, suggestions, or are interested in becoming part of the RhymeCraft project, feel free to sign our guestbook and let us know what’s on your mind.
What is RhymeCraft? Hip-Hop based Flash animations & games, with a fantasy twist
Any game you play, animated short you watch, or character you see in RhymeCraft is set in an alternate reality where freestyle artists (rhyme-mages) are able to battle each other, and their words twist the rules of reality to manipulate their environments.
The ideas expressed in the rhyme find a way to manifest themselves in the physical world, and that is the essence of RhymeCraft.
The Gehenna Keys Saga The story begins…
Princess Ruviki’s fiancée was abducted, snatched to the depths of a hellish dimension known as Gehenna. She pleaded to her father to mobilize soldiers for his rescue, but he refused. Ruviki acted upon the only option she felt was available: going on a quest to rescue the man she loves.
To enter the gates of Gehenna she must find the four Gehenna Keys...keys which are guarded by sinister forces. Will her mastery of the RhymeCraft be enough to save her from impending doom?
Any game, movie, or other link on this site with the subtitle “THE GEHENNA KEYS SAGA” tells part of this tale. The page will be updated periodically, so visit often to catch new additions to the story. |

BLOG, BLOG, BLOG… April 25th, 2005
I’ve been working on the game prototype for about 2 months to the day. It’s pretty much finished, except for a few animations that are missing, a few more that need to be redone, and lyrics for 3 of the attacks that are missing. All in all, I think it’s looking pretty good.
Let’s keep this short and sweet. We’re eventually going to need more manpower for this project. That includes graphic artists, emcees, and beatmakers. I’ve already got some people in mind, but if RhymeCraft is something that you want to be a part of, I’m pretty sure that we can find a use for you.
Which brings me to point two: MONEY. This site will start of on a free webhoster (complete with annoying pop-ups and banners), but will be moved to a cleaner, more “professional” site that we’ll pay for. We’ll get lyricists and beatmakers to help, who would eventually like to get paid (unless you guys WANT me to do all the lyrics and voices for all the characters...I mean, I do alright, but I ain’t the next Jay-Z). All this plus whatever additional promotional we need to do is all going to cost MONEY! So even though I love free sh*t, and as far as I know everybody else in the world loves free sh*t, this can’t be one of those things.
Don’t get me wrong: there will be some things on this site that are always free. But there will be some things that start off free, and eventually end up costing a little bit (probably the games). Don’t get upset. It’s just the way it is.
Anyway, thanks for visiting, and SIGN THE GUESTBOOK! Without positive feedback, we’ll probably scrap the project, and without negative feedback, the project will never grow.
