This series is about a young female vampire named Miyu who banishes Shimna (demon and god) back to the dark. Her masked assistant Larva is her guardian and protects her as well as helps banish Shimna. A spiritualist named Himiko Se has vowed to try and kill Miyu but she's not like other vampires. She isnt affected by holy water, sunlight, or crosses.

a child but dont let that fool you. She's hundreds of years old and is immune to
sunlight, holy water, and crosses(Himiko tries all of the above but nothing works).
Himiko is the spiritualist
after Miyu who tries to kill her but always fails. She finds out at the end of the series
that she has vampire blood in her and will become a vampire herself eventually.
This is Vampire
Princess Yui. She is from the same clan as Miyu. Her mom was bitten by Miyu and her father
by a Shinma(demon-god).
Nagi is a character
in the comics. He lives without aging and is a member of the mysterious
"Ghost Clan".
Ichirou is
from the manga series. He looks like an elf but he's actually a werewolf.
He only appears in the manga version. The third volume of Shin Vampire Miyu.
Raen is a Shinma that
appears in the first Origional Anime Video(OAV). She feeds off of dreams.
The girl she posessed died when Miyu returned Raen to "The Dark".
Ranka appears in the 2nd
OAV. She takes the lives and souls of people and leaves their shells behind as
Japanese dolls. She falls in love with a handsom boy from Miyu's school named Kei.
She gives Miyu a speech about love and then her and Kei return to "The Dark" together.
