as an Asatru fighter |
| Brenda decided as she grew older that her warrior days were best put behind her, so she became a witch and took up brewing as a way of expressing the magical side of her nature. |
| On the other hand, some of that warrior nature tends to reappear after Brenda has had a few sips of December mead, a sack mead with so-far secret ingredients. She still keeps the katana razor sharp. You never know when a good sword will come in handy. |

Which brings us to that ugly rumor about Brenda's alleged, but wholly imagined, affair with King Gothryd of Daggerfall. The "incriminating" photo, namely:
This photograph was obviously retouched. See Queen Aubk-i there in the background? If there were an "affair" going on, the jig would be up right about then, now wouldn't it? This picture was made from two exposures that were later superimposed. Brenda was framed! (You know you can't believe a thing the media says.)
Anyway, Brenda is a priestess today, and founder of the Butterfly Coven. The witches meet usually indoors because conditions aren't all that good for going skyclad. The area is full of Christians who impose their rules on everyone with the law, believing them to be "objective," non-sectarian laws. In reality, they enforce the Christians' own moral code on everyone, far beyond the point where the teachings of Jesus and simple common sense happen to run together.
Anyway, we are fortunate to have a member who has converted part of his house into a temple.
