A young Bama Fan doesnt have to look hard for a role model or a hero.There are and have been several walk threw the Capstone.For me there was Jay Barker.Jay Barker still to this day is my role model.A man who Quarterbacked the Tide to a 35-1-1 record while he was under center.Mr.Barker along with a 35-1-1 record in games he played and finished also had a national title,a S.E.C. Title, 3 bowl game victories and 23 Awards.Yet Mr.Barker knows where all that came from.Mr.Barker was a man of God.Taking stands against Drinking,Drugs,and premariatal sex.He was deffinitly a man who you wanted as your Son or Daughters Role Model. : ::Here are some statistics and records about Mr.Barker---Total Mr.Barker played in 42 games,Threw 706 passes and completed 402 of them.He threw for 5,689 yards,24 interceptions and 26 touchdowns.He has many rcords at Alabama including "THE WINNINGEST Q.B.
