My great, great, great, great grandfather is *William¹ GRANTLAND. He married *Susan DRAPER (daughter of David DRAPER & Elizabeth nee?). They had children to include *James¹ B. "JIM", Walter², William² D., John R., Thomas Edward², Lucy Jane, Eliza, Henry W., Ann M., Mary E. and Sarah E. GRANTLAND.
My great, great, great grandfather is *James¹ B. "JIM" GRANTLAND. His wife's name was *Mary Ann WINTON. They had children to include MARTHA, *ELSA O., LUDIE and IRA GRANTLAND. (NOTE: I did have his wife's name as Liza. Since I posted this, I have been shown that his wife was named Mary Ann WINTON. Could he have been married twice? Liza doesn't seem appropriate as a nickname for Mary Ann. I believe that my Aunt Pauline has his wife's name confused with Mary Ann's mother's name, Elizabeth, who would probably been called Liza.)
My great, great grandfather, *ELSA ("s" pronounced like "z") O. (probably Ottis) GRANTLAND married *CLARA Elizabeth WRAY 02/01/1891. They had children to include Louis, *James Edgar "ED" GRANTLAND.
My great grandfather, *James Edgar "ED" GRANTLAND married Florence Eunice "EUNIE" BLEVINS (both buried Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Hartselle, Morgan County, AL). They had children to include James ATLEY, PAULINE, MARCILLE, MARIE, ROY, and *George Odis "ODE" GRANTLAND.
My grandfather, *George Odis "ODE" GRANTLAND was born in Morgan County, AL on March 6th, 1917. He married *Valerie CLAUDINE LYLE on April 26th, 1934 (probably in Morgan County, AL). They had four children to include Betty ZANE, Shelby JEAN, HAROLD Keith and *Glenda SUE GRANTLAND.
This is the end of this direct bloodline to me.
