Gary McDuffie, KC4MIX

AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR / NATURE PHOTOGRAPHER.

I started with the "AT&T South Central Bell Telephone Company" in 1968 after 4 years in the U.S. Air Force.

A lot of changes have been made and this includes the company's name. It was BellSouth and not a part of AT&T when I retired. I made it to 31 1/2 years. (Feb. 28, 2000)

I have retired but haven't even thought of quiting. I got into photography when I was young but never had the equipment and now that I have some I have started to really enjoy this hobby. You may use any of my photos for non-commercial use. I only require that I am given credit for these photos and others that may be posted at a later date.

I joined the Theodore / Tillmans Corner Volunteer Fire Department in March, 1970 and retired as the Chief of the department on July 23, 2002.

In May of 1968 I married LaDonna Sue Yates and in '72 we had a little girl,Teresa Cheryl. In '73 a son, Gary, Jr. was born.

Teresa has married Jimmy Widner. They have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Joanna.

Gary has a beautiful little girl, Alexis, and a son, Justin!!! Justin is my only GrandSON!

I play the guitar at Theodore Church of God in Theodore, Alabama on Sunday and Wednesday ( with practice on Monday at times... ) and I go to Foster Grove Holiness Church where my brother Jimmie is pastor on Tuesday night and play there! I get a real blessing while "Playing for the Lord"! Join me in one of the services.

Brother Will and Sister Diane McKee have a ministry at the Home of Grace in Vancleave, Mississippi. They go once a month and minister to the men that are recovering from addictions of drugs and alcohol! Sister Diane plays the piano and sings and I help with my guitar when I am able to go.

The first three photos below are of the Mountains of North Carolina,
called the Smokies. These were taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

My Father-in-law, Rev. T.C. Yates and My Mother-in-law, Etta L.(Hall)Yates.
Brother and Sister Yates were instrumental in helping the Holiness movement in Oklahoma and surounding States as well as pastoring some of the smaller churches in areas that many preachers wouldn't consider.
Both are gone to their reward and are missed by Donna and I!

My Mother, Ruth (Sims) McDuffie and My Dad, James K. McDuffie, Sr.
Mom died in 1997 and Dad in 2003
They both were very Godly people and are gone to their reward. They, too, are missed!
