Assignment
From the beginning of time people have predicted and prophesied the future. Most of the time, it is totally different than what we expect (unless the prophesy is of God). So as I do this assignment, keep in mind that this is based on complete theory. Theories I’ve heard and from my own imagination.
Of course we’ll have more speed and power. Everything will be automated. There will be a computerized sensor to see when you leave or enter a room and will turn on or off lights. This is very possible today even. For instance, the automatic doors at stores. Just incorporate that same system with your lighting and there you go.
There is a prophesy in the book of Revelations that says there will be something called the mark of the beast. This will come true. Maybe not in 2050, maybe so. Only God knows. If I am here during that I won’t take the mark. This mark very well may be a tiny chip the size of a grain of rice implanted in one’s hand and forehead. In a magazine I read there are a few test people already using this.
The way this may work is that when you go through the checkout line, you will run your hand under a scanner, and it will take money from your account. There will be no physical passing of money. Computers will do it all. All your information is stored in your hand and forehead. All someone has to do is scan it and there’s every single bit of information, from the exact location of your work office, to where you last bought a package of gum.
If one chooses to take this mark, he/she is taking Satan’s side. And Satan just wants to destroy. Jesus has life. It is said that if you don’t have this mark, you will be killed. Some may hide and by God’s grace be safe, but starve and freeze and all those uncomfortable things, but they have a great reward in heaven.
They can also use this mark as a homing device. No matter where you are, they will be able to track you down. Perhaps, even, this device will be used to affect the nervous system. Even cause pain with bursts of electricity as punishment. Or even explode with the push of a button killing the person. These things are not in Revelation, but who knows. The bottom line is, with this device, you will have no freedom. The government will always be watching you. If you accept to stay on Jesus’ side, however, you will have eternal freedom.
As I said, I am not saying this WILL happen before or on 2050, but it just might. I guess this has turned into a warning to be watchful and don’t fall the subtleties of the government. If someone offers to give you the mark or implant a device in you that will make life more convenient, PLEASE, for the sake of your life say no.

I wrote this for an assignment, which called for me to write about computing in the year 2050, and I ended up writing this highly “religious” essay. In college, they don’t restrict “religious” activities, but I wonder what would have happened if I had written this while in a public high school…not that it would have stopped me J.
