Chevy Vs Ford
This is not my story nor in my words. I'm a Chevy fan and this
article does take (in my opinion) Chevy's side. This story is from the 4x4 power
Dec97 magazine. This is not a word for word comparsion from the magazine but is very
close.
What was Tested
95 Chevy K1500 and a 96
Ford F-150, freshly lifted and tricked
out with performace parts. Both trucks were almost identical in Engine/Gears and
all around.

Liked- Lots of torque / looked great/ sounded cool/ strong and broad powerband/ Short wheelbase good for urban drving. |
Liked-Turned tight for such a long wheelbase/ handels well on windy roads/ plenty of in cab room. |
|
Disliked- Not much suspension travel/ Rough 4 wheel drive engagement. |
Disliked- No low end power/ Not enough room to keep truck in Overdrive on hills/ couldnt do a burnout/ No power where you need it/ steering is way too light/ frame is too flexable/ Tranny downshifts are slow. |
