Gardens in Alexandria

Antoniadis Gardens

The Gardens are distinguished by its unique architectural design, and contain beautifully arranged trees and flowers, a botanical garden, as well as several Greek statues in marble. The Antoniadis Palace is located in the middle of the gardens.


The Zoological Garden

The zoo houses a great number of rare animals. It is the second largest in Egypt ( the first located in Cairo).


El-Nozha Gardens

El-Nozha Gardens, which lie in the center of the city, comprise several gardens such as the Antoniadis Gardens, the children's park and the zoological Garden.

El-Montaza Palace Gardens

These gardens lies at the eastern end of the cornice, covering an area of 370 acres. They were designed for Khedive Abbas II. A great part of Montaza's beauty lies in its planting.. trees, palms and flowers. There are also a children's park and several restaurants scattered about the grounds.


El-Shallalat Gardens

A central park east of downtown, it is of special character, distinguished by its high and low levels and waterways. The gardens also house parts of the ancient (Arab) city walls.

The International Garden

Located at the entrance of the Desert Road on an area of 130 acres. It has become one of the famous landmarks of Alexandria as a new place of attraction providing recreational and cultural activities as well as exhibits and water sports. It composites models of the most important places of tourist attraction and there are pavilions of the international gardens.
