A breast cancer diagnosis is very difficult in itself. Surgery, treatment and daily responsibility are stressful enough without financial strain. Unfortunately, the financial strain goes hand in hand with breast cancer.
The Cullman Christian Breast Cancer Relief Fund is here for you. We help meet the needs of families affected by breast cancer who do not have anywhere else to turn. Our ministry pays insurance copays, utilities, prescriptions, groceries, gas for trips to the doctor and meets other needs that come as the result of breast cancer. You are never alone.

CULLMAN COUNTY
The Cullman Christian Breast Cancer Relief
Fund was originally set up in 1995 as the Tammy
Sharpton Breast Cancer Fund to raise money for
a bone marrow transplant after my insurance
refused to pay. Since then, I have received the
transplant and want to help the women in
Cullman County who, along with their families,
are battling this terrible disease. All money goes
to breast cancer patients in our county to help
pay for doctor bills, prescriptions, insurance
copays and other expenses that result from
treatments for breast cancer. Unfortunately, this
is a time when it often takes two incomes to
make ends meet. If one family member has to
take time off from work to fight breast cancer,
the whole family is affected. Donations can be

We are so blessed to have a friend like Tammy Sharpton. From day one she has had a desire to help other women who are now walking in the shoes she once wore. Not only did she survive, she triumphed over cancer, and is now reaching out to others.
We are all thrilled to be part of the breast cancer fund. We have helped many women and hope to continue God's work.

The Cullman Christian Breast Cancer Relief Fund is a ministry
reaching out to families that are affected by breast cancer. We help alleviate
the financial burden that is the result of a family member having been
diagnosed with this terrible disease.
The fund was established September 1997 and has been available to
families living in Cullman County. Some of the specific needs that we help
with are:
Electric, water and other utility bills
Doctor bills, not covered by insurance, and copays
Prescription medication
Gift certificates for groceries
Prosthesis
Gas to go to and from doctors’ offices
Above all, we provide prayer for strength and healing.

mission statement
The sole purpose of The Cullman Christian Breast Cancer Relief Fund is to reach out into Cullman County and prayerfully lighten the economic burdens of those families financially stressed as the result of a breast cancer diagnosis to one of the immediate family members. By alleviating the undue burden of extra medical expenses, not covered by health insurance, we are called, according to the Lord, to minister to the financial needs of breast cancer survivors and their families. In doing so, may the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ shine ever so brightly to draw those in need of this fund to His Saving Grace. Those persons called to His work with this fund being committed to His work and to sharing the Good News that He is risen!

We want to help lighten the financial load. Insurance is not always enough. Some policies don’t cover drugs or have high deductibles that can be very hard to meet. You can make a difference
All work is done on a volunteer basis. We need volunteers in many areas of our ministry. Also, money is needed to meet the needs in our community. Donations can be made at any First Commercial Bank location. Churches are encouraged to hold fund raisers
and take up special offerings for the fund.
