[Sept. 25, 1999 ACMA Scale Fly/In Report]
South Alabama R/C Modelers - Polo Field - Fly/In
Sat. Aug. 21, 1999 "Point Clear Polo Field" Fairhope, Al. - With a great venue
and good weather, a fantastic assortment of R/C models & modelers came together
for a day of flying, visiting, seeing, and being seen. Many delicious Sausage
& Hot Dogs were consumed during the lunch break while the "Combat at Noon" event
was going on with Rob Baker of Mobile taking the top honors. (5 cuts and 3 kills)
A full day of flying was throughly enjoyed by all present.
|
We had 80 pilots registered and 100+ models present with many prizes given away throughout the day.

(left)Yes...This giant model can hover like a helicopter and is always good for a fine
demonstration of fast reflexes! (right)What a well trained model, as it followed it's
master around all day.
