The newest Penny shoe has not even been seen by most of the public. Available in October of '97, this shoe is a bit
of a throwback to the Air Max Penny in design. The support wing is built
into the midsole, this time made of polyurethane, and is colored shiny
black, giving the shoe a much more fluid look. A small window on the
back/side of the show features the 1-cent logo on a silver backdrop.
Again, a combination of Max Air and Zoom Air is being used, along with
the inclusion of the shank plate. Carrying over from the Foamposite, the
Air Penny III has the flexgrooves that really improves the shoe's flexibility
and court responsiveness. This shoe will more than likely be available in

without stitching. It's seamless. Nike designers created a lightweighted shoe with Zoom Air housed within the Foamposite construction. Penny's one cent logo is seen on the tounge and the heel. This shoe is out for sale, but probably already sold out. Personally I really think it looks cool.
