The Watkins Aquarium Page!

Welcome to our page of aquarium pictures! These are all 'baby' pictures of our fish family. I'll post new ones as soon as we get them in so you can see how our little ones have grown. Hope you enjoy these!

Here is a very baby picture of our bala shark. This was taken right around the time he developed a terrible case of ick! We were afraid we'd lose him but he pulled through. See how tiny he is here? Today he's right at 5" long from tip of nose to base of tail! (The angelfish in the background is now almost as large as the palm of my hand!)

Here is a shot of our 28 gallon set-up. We have made some changes to it since this picture was taken, such as putting up a solid blue background and re-arranging the fish population.

Here's a shot of two of our clown loaches with Bala. See how small they are? The largest of the three is nearly as long as Bala now, and is as big around! They are the loaches who had ick at the same time as Bala, back in January of 1998. All recovered completely.

Look how widdle!! I can't believe how huge he is now. See that piece of petrified wood below him? He makes it look small now.

This is one of our 10 gallon tanks. The jar with the shells in it 'belongs' to Stripe, our male swordtail. He guards it with his life!

That's all the pictures I have right now. I'll take more soon and post them so you can see the difference between 'then' and 'now'! Check back soon to see what I have added...and thanks for visiting!!
