Food for Bettas!

Well, this page is based on my experience not just straight from the book!

I find that a varied diet is the best food. In the summer months, I tend to condition Bettas for spawning using mosquito larvae because they are quite nutritious. You can do this by filling half a bucket of water and let it stand in the dirtiest part of the garden. Here it tends to have the most mosquito larvae - especially after rain!

I also feed 'em tubifex worms but this should be regulated as there will be much waste. Frozen worms are also good and can be used at any time! I have found that they are pretty good when there is nothing much left.

Flakes seem to do OK as a vegie source. When there is absolutely NO source of food except flakes, only use them them!

I don't know about the value of ants but they seem to do OK with that. Email me about ants!

I think that is all I have to say...If you have any suggestions please email me!
