Heskey and Owen on target for Reds
Liverpool maintained their winning ways
during the pre-season campaign so far with a 2-0 victory over Singapore in the
Far East today.
Emile Heskey's goal four minutes before half time from Nick Barmby's cross gave the Reds the lead against a Singapore side which pushed Gerard Houllier's men all the way. And Michael Owen's strike in the closing stages of the match put the result beyond doubt to the delight of the majority of fans inside the Singapore national stadium. This afternoon's victory makes it two out of two for Gerard Houllier's men after their victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Austria last week.
