My Fable

Tell me a fable

'Bout a prince and his kind

Loved by many,

But special this time

Not caring like peasants

She loved him none the less

This power was greater

She longs to confess

Put on a pedestal

In joy she is seen

Never stops for a minute

Tried to be his queen

Her love was not just

He did not want more

Once again is a peasant

Outside castle doors

Now listen to find

A way out of this doom

Eyes full of sadness

She'll end this all soon

Watch for a second

It cannot be fed

A pain so deep

She'll step towards the edge

Looking 'round here,

no happiness you'll find

Not closed with "Everafter"

Or told "Once Upon A Time".
