Oranges And Grapefruits

This history it seems to me
been blazened and blue.
Your rage is always so
.................................unpredictable.
I dreamt last night
of every sharp memory
that you seem to uphold.
All disgustingly covered by your citrus smile.
Peeling me back
you go eat up my soul
Squeeze me for juice until you’ve got it all
I’ll blaze in the sun ‘till the snow hits the ground.
It all tastes bad, and I never was one for fruit.
You mixed me up like some bloody casserole
I’m hoping you’re happy now.
It’s hard to cut tough luck.
Believe me...I know it’s true.
I prayed for you
I will pray for you
Even though you’re peeling me back
You go eat up my soul
Squeeze me for juice until you’ve got it all
I’ll blaze in the sun ‘till the snow hits the ground.
It all tastes bad, and I never really ever liked fruit.
