Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology
(ACCET) is located in the northern part of Karaikudi which is equidistant
from two metropolitan cities - Trichy and Madurai. It is one of the
pioneering institutions in Tamil Nadu founded by Dr. RM. Alagappa Chettiar
on 21st July 1952. Being an educationalist he started this Institution
with Excellent Infrastructure facilities. Most of the equipments
were imported from U.S and U.K . Right from its day of inception,
the College under the guidance of illustrious trustees, management
of far - sighted principals and faculty members, has been at the
prime of technical excellence striving with the motto of
