Graphic Design
Topic: Graphics
Graphic design is based on 6 principals’ rhythm, balance, proportion, variety, emphasis, and harmony. There are also 5 elements to graphic design as well they are lines, shapes, mass, texture, and color. Graphic design has to do with the physical product of a company, the design and lay out of a product. My web page will be informing people about these differences. It will clear up a persons understanding of the graphic arts industry.

Graphic Communications
Topic: Graphics
Graphic communications reflects all changes in the industry, color science, electronic prepress and digital printing, digital image capture, color management, and flexography. Graphic communications has more to do with the industry expanding and getting products out on the market. My web site will elaborate on what graphic communications really are and then break down the differences that these two fields might have.

Graphic Design v.s. Graphic Communications
Topic: Graphics
Graphic design and graphic communications are they the same or do they have differences. My project will be based on the differences between graphic design and graphic communications. I will design a website that will inform people about the graphic arts industry and let them know the differences. Digital imagery capture and manipulation, electronic prepress operations, computer-based systems for managing most aspects of a business, computer-to-plate technology, electronic control all fall under the graphic arts category. I have no previous knowledge on the difference between graphic design and graphic communications.
