Barb's Blurb:

Ladies, thanks again for another fantastic turn out at the November meeting!  We're accomplishing a lot of great things and I'm really excited about all the support this Service Unit has been getting! See you ALL at the December meeting! Happy holidays, everyone!!

The December Leader meeting will be held at the IBEW building 12/12!! Team meeting at 6:30 p.m. followed by a short leader meeting which will be followed by cookie training. Contact Tracie at 243-7369 if you absolutely cannot attend this mandatory cookie training.

If you have ordered a name tag, come with money to the December meeting so that the tags can be ordered! No money, no order!! The price is less than  $3.00 typically.

For those troops that are bridging this year, it's not too early to start working on your bridging requirements!

QSP can be turned in to Shirley Kelley at the next meeting if it was not turned in today.

Ice Fishing will be January 19 at approximately 1pm. You can preregister for $3 at the January Leader meeting, or pay $4 upon arrival on the 19th. Please bring fishing poles with you to the event.

Tentatively, caroling is scheduled for Thursday the 19th of December. Location is in the works. How about having a Christmas party after caroling? A Chinese gift exchange...hot chocolate...cookies...any other ideas?

Thinking Day is only a few months away! All suggestions for the Thinking Day 2003 Event are welcome and encouraged.

If your troop will be selling cookies, mandatory cookie training will take place at the December Leader Meeting. Leaders and cookie parents must attend.

If you would like baby sitting service at Leader Meetings, please call Barb at 279-4631 two days in advance to make arrangements.

If you have any items or ideas, please feel free to bring them to the meeting. Our Bring and Take table is always open.

Filling an open position on the Service Unit Team is worth 15 Foil points. Current open positions are: Northwood and Aquarian School Organizer positions.

Be sure your trainings are up-to-date. If not, contact Barb to arrange a spot at the next training.

The GirlSports Kit is available for checkout from Barb. The material is geared toward the Brownie level, but many of the activities can be used for all ages.

There are extra patches for sale from the Service Unit from past events. If you didnt get one then, get them while theyre still here! There are also Service Unit patches available for $1.25 each. Purchase them from Tracie Pierce at the Leader Meeting and avoid paying extra shipping costs.

At the annual meeting, all delegates were voted in. Tracie Pierce was the recipient of the appreciation pin! Congratulations, Tracie!!

Margaret Sharpes troop was featured in the latest Trefoil. Her troop made their own sashes and matching tie-dye shirts. Brava!

The Foil Auction will be held at the January meeting due to the cookie training at this month's meeting. Save those points!!
