Victoria's Portfolio

I have been employed at Arizona State University for almost five years now. During that time, I have been taking courses toward my degree program. My time at ASU has been very rewarding both professionally and personally.

I worked for almost three years at the Languages & Literatures Department. I was fortunate to become friends with faculty, teaching assistants, staff and students from around the world. I learned about cultures in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Mexico, Sweden, Korea, China and other countries as well. My interest in anthropology allowed me to not only enjoy interactions at work, but also think of them as sort of a social and cultural learning experience or an ethnographic study. My administrative duties allowed me to assist both faculty and students daily and it was a wonderful experience.

I currently work in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office. I organize and plan meetings, luncheons, receptions and other events. My administrative experience has given me the opportunity to understand how a college and its departments operate and how committees and task forces accomplish their goals. Our administrators go to great lengths to provide a quality education and experience at ASU.
