Updates

23/06/04    Some of you might have found it already, but for those who haven't, we have a few mp3s from our unpublished second album on Our SoundClick Page. Also, the Public Eyesore website has moved to www.publiceyesore.com.

16/06/04    It's Bloom's Day, so I've been for an incomprehensible walk. Also, although our second album has yet to achieve publication, we've been working hard on producing music for our third album. I thought "Un Petit peu de 'Comment va Votre Père?' " would be a good title, but I dare say I'll be outvoted. Anyhoo, that's all the news that's fit to print for the time being. I'll try to persuade Mr.Quayle & Jez into the studio as soon as possible, and we'll keep trying to get our second album out as quickly as we're able to.

29/04/04    Well, it's been another couple of months with little movement on the 2nd album. Mr. Quayle and myself have been in contact and are trying to keep our options kind of open(ish). Next time I talk to him, I'll mention the idea of using an mp3 hosting service again, see what he thinks. Hopefully, we'll get some new material published soon, one way or another.

23/02/04    Sharp-eyed visitors may have noticed a "certificate of evil" on the front page of our site. I should point out that the assessment of 57% evil was based on a reading of Mr. Quayle's "Edoddi Manifesto", which can be found in the "Words" section of this site. Apart from that, we've been trying to get our second album "In Front of Our House" heard by various people who might be interested in distributing it. We will, of course, let you know as soon as there are any further developments.

20/08/03    The main news item this month is that we've acquired a new member, Mr. Owen Green. Owen has been helping us with remixing the new songs, and he's also made one or two other mystery contributions! More details about Owen will appear shortly in the history pages. Our contribution to Wood Records compilation of Bonzo Dog covers should be reaching their offices any time now. We hope the album does well, as it is a charity disc in support of Amnesty International.

18/06/03    Well, the gig plan didn't quite go as we were hoping. Too many logistical difficulties, but I'm sure we'll overcome those fairly soon. The really big news this month is that we just finished all the recording for our second album!!! There are one or two minor technical niggles to iron out, but that shouldn't be too difficult. We haven't really decided on a title yet, but you'll hear it here first. Hopefully, the album will become available as soon as possible. Naturally, we'll keep you apprised of developments.

06/03/03    I've noticed that people tend to enter the site at random pages and often leave after a couple of seconds. Maybe they're having trouble navigating it. So I've put more "menu-lamps" on each page to show people where the menu is. Incidentally, I saw a really interesting act in Sheff a few nights ago, they're called "36 Other Guys", or should that be "Thirty Six Other Guys"? Well, they were very good anyway. Oh, and there were only two of them.

18/01/03    Well, over the last couple of days, Mr. Q and myself have managed to put together six new songs, actually a couple of new ones and some new (decently recorded) versions of older material (songs we've ummed and aahhed over for a while and finally decided to publish). Now all we need to do is add some bass, I've been in touch with Jez about that, and a bit of fiddly production type stuff. So it looks like our second, as yet untitled, album will be ready fairly soon. Of course, there have been one or two setbacks, but hopefully nothing insurmountable. Stay tuned for more updates, probably in a few weeks.

24/11/02    Just a quick update to let you know that "Zabaranda" is now on sale at Rare & Racy, Devonshire Green, Sheffield. Numbers are very limited, so be the first on your block etc...

17/11/02    Okay, it looks like Giz0rn is dead in the water, so I'll be moving our mp3s to another location soon, sorry about the delay and thanks to Mathias for pointing me to some alternative mp3 hosts. I know it's not much of an excuse, but I've been kind of busy recently. Mr.Q and Jez have been asking when we can arrange another recording session. The truthful answer is: I'm not sure, but I don't think it will be too far in the future. Our (as yet untitled) second album is nearly finished, and we're all really keen to publish it as soon as poss. Anyhoo, that's about all for now, thanks for dropping by.

28/09/02    Many thanks to Delire Actuel, a Quebecois radio show, who aired two of our songs on September 24th. Also, the bloke from giz0rn.com emailed me to explain why their site is malfunctioning. Apparently they'll be operational again soon, but in the meantime I'll try to find another mp3 hosting site for our new songs. If anybody is reading this who knows where I could find one, perhaps you might let me know (our email address is at the bottom of this page).

21/09/02    You can read some reviews of "Zabaranda" at the Public Eyesore Silt Fish page. We hope you find them interesting, I know I did!

05/09/02    Three new (unpublished) songs are now available to download at giz0rn.com. We hope you enjoy them. If you have any trouble downloading them, please let the gizOrn people know about the problem. You could mail us with the details too, ta!

21/08/02    Six newly scanned pictures on the gallery page. These meisterquayles hang on my living room walls. And no, I don't know why the fonts on our website keep changing. Absolutely no idea at all, sorry.

30/07/02    It seems that our long-awaited first release "Zabaranda" is now available to order online from Public Eyesore. Eventually there will be the chance to buy the album from selected retail outlets in Sheffield and Cambridge, I'll keep you posted. If you can't get to either Sheff or Cantab, there are links to Public Eyesore all over this site, so you shouldn't have any difficulty. We hope you enjoy our songs.
