Theo Spencer
My dad

Theo Spencer joined the army in 1951 and did all his training and was ready to be stationed in the Korea.

In September 1951 he was sent home to visit his family briefly before he was sent to Korea.

While he was visiting his family in Utah, his father Alvin Heaton Spencer had past away on September 17, 1951 in Cedar City, Utah.

His family requested the US Army to release him for support. The Us Army policies also quotes of any family member are needed in the house hold must be released.

Dad was released and had to take over his father's responsibility until it was smoothed out.

During 1951-1960 He had learned to be an auto-body man and auto-mechanic.

In 1964 He lived in Fairbanks, Alaska when he met my mother and moved to Barrow, Alaska for one year.

Most of his auto work was done in Anchorage, Alaska. He retired in June 2003 and moved back to his home state Utah

My dad adopted three children and raised us as his own. He taught us so well that we actually act like him sometimes. All his children are so proud of our father and he is the best dad that anyone would love to have.

He is kind, generous, family man, goes to church, always there and support, patients (he had a lot of patients with us!), and took us camping all over where there were roads in Alaska. There is so much of thanks to him that I can not write them all in such a short dedication to his military service.

One thing for sure; I love my dad deeply and thank him for raising me as his own blood.
