Blinkin' with cool!
Here's a slick, trick and truly clean alternative installation/relocation of the rear turn signals. It's so easy that even a lawyer can do it! Proof is in the fact that it was a lawyer that came up with it... none other than TG!
The signals themselves are universal replacements for crotch rocket signals from K&S Technologies, part number 25-8356. TG picked them up at a local dealer for $15.00.
"The signals are extremely bright - the change from clear to yellow also is a great eye-grabber. The packaging says they are not turn signals or DOT approved, but I think that's just those lawyers buttin in again. ;)
"Installation was a snap - just drilled some 5/8" holes on either side of the housing for the reflector, screwed them in and wired them up (that is, once I knew which wires to connect to). There's not a lot of room behind the reflector for the stem, nut and lock washer to work with, so a needle nose pliers was needed for the final tightening. The signals are very light (chromed plastic), so they're not going to move around or bother the assembly."
In this picture the OEM rear turn signal is shown as a reference on the enormous difference! This is one alternative to the huge, ungainly, downright BUTT-ugly and incredibly inconsiderably-placed OEM rear turn signals on the 800A. Hopefully, there will soon be an Illustrated Manual available for the installation; not only so anyone can do this, but to provide ideas... [hint, hint]!
